AMHA YOUTH OF THE YEAR
Every year, the Morgan Masterpiece hosts an AMHA Youth of the Year contest, which is designed to recognize hard working youth who are well versed in horsemanship skills, regardless if they own a horse or even plan to show at the Morgan Masterpiece. This is a great opportunity for ANY youth crazy about horses!
Youth of the Year consist of four parts, each worth about 250 points:
Contestants who win the Senior division or who score over 800 points in the Senior division at any locally held contests will have the opportunity to travel to Oklahoma City to compete in the AMHA Youth of the Year contest at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show!
2025 SPEECH TOPIC AND PATTERNS
Patterns are to be completed and videoed at home. Take this time to perfect the pattern! Please be sure to video the pattern from the location indicated on the pattern sheet.
You may need to upload to a video platform (i.e. YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) and email the link to Natalie.

Speech Topic: The Importance of Welfare Rules in Morgan Competition. Discuss a key rule regarding horse welfare (e.g. shoeing regulations, drug policies, etc.) and its impact on the sport and animal welfare.
Senior Pattern:

- Oral Presentation
- Judging Contest
- Horsemanship Pattern
